ABOUT
Trio Delyria was founded in the summer of 2020 in Frankfurt am Main/Berlin by three Garman-based Israeli musicians, who came together with a shared love of the piano trio repertoire and the dream of exploring it together. Since then the Trio has established itself as a promising, up-and-coming ensemble, marked by its exceptional vitality, detailed and cohesive interpretation and the strong individual personality of its members, who feel privileged to continue learning from, inspiring and challenging each other in every performance and rehearsal.

In the short years since its foundation, the Trio has gained substantial experience and recognition through performances in major venues such as the Alte Oper Frankfurt, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Sony Auditorium in Madrid and the Israel Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv. Their concert recordings have also been featured on radio stations in Germany (HR2, Deutschlandfunk Kultur) and in Israel.
The Trio’s repertoire is broad, ranging from the earliest classical piano trios to the most contemporary. It takes great joy in programming (unjustly) neglected music by female composers and in collaborating with contemporary artists, treating every endeavour with uttermost professionality and bringing their characteristically energetic and refined musical approach to bear. The three musicians are particularly passionate about the rediscovery of forgotten works by Jewish composers of the 20th century. Their broad scope of interests has been reflected in the Trio’s discography- its debut CD from 2023 contains works by Felix Mendelssohn and Paul Ben-Haim, and early 2026 will see the release of two further productions: an album dedicated to works by Joseph Haydn and Lee Bradshaw, including a commissioned work by the Australian composer and recorded in Emil Berliner Studios, and a stand-alone recording of the only piano trio by German-Jewish composer and pedagogue Bernhard Sekles.

The Trio studied as an ensemble at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts in the class of Prof. Angelika Merkle, graduating with distinction from the Master and Konzertexamen programs. Simultaneously they attended the International Institute of Chamber Music at the Reina Sofia School in Madrid upon invitation of Günter Pichler, founder and primarius of the Alban Berg Quartett. They were also fortunate to receive valuable impulses and advice from prominent chamber musicians and pedagogues in Germany and abroad, including members of the Fauré Quartett, the Storioni Trio, Lucas Fels (Arditti Quartet), Heime Müller (formerly of the Artemis Quartet) and Eberhard Feltz.

During their studies they have been awarded numerous prizes, including the “Bad Homburger Förderpreis für Kammermusik” (2021), the chamber music prize of the Frankfurt Polytechnic Society (2021, 2022), the Ina and Gustav Lenzewski Prize (2023), the Frankfurt University “Ensemblestipendium” (2023) and the 2nd prize along with the audience prize at the International Schumann Chamber Music Competition (2022). The Trio was also among the semifinalists at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition (2023
